Shipping policy

Greenspaces.id specializes in international shipping of live plants. We place the highest priority on plant health, careful preparation, and compliance with export standards to ensure the best possible shipping experience for our customers.


1. Shipping Coverage

We ship ornamental plants to various countries in accordance with the import regulations of each destination country.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that live plants are permitted for import into their country. If you are unsure, please contact us before placing an order.


2. Shipping Methods

a. Cargo Shipping (USA Only)

  1. Cargo shipping is available exclusively for shipments to the USA.

  2. This shipping method does not require an Import Permit or Green Label from the buyer.

  3. Cargo shipments are dispatched approximately twice per month.

  4. Shipments are handled in cooperation with our partners in New Jersey or Miami, requiring transit time for Quality Control and Repacking.

  5. We highly recommend this option, as historically it has shown a very low risk of damage.

  6. Domestic shipping within the USA is handled by USPS Regular Service.

  7. If you wish to upgrade to Next Day Service, please contact our customer service team. Additional shipping costs will apply and will be communicated based on the destination address.


b. DHL Express

  1. Available for all destination countries, including the USA.

  2. Requires the buyer to provide and submit a valid Import Permit and Green Label, in accordance with the destination country’s regulations.

  3. Shipments are sent directly from our greenhouse to the recipient’s address, with no transit or consolidation process.

  4. All import duties, taxes, and customs fees incurred are beyond our control, are determined by the courier and local authorities, and are the sole responsibility of the buyer.


3. Shipping & Phytosanitary Fees

All orders are charged using a split-fee system, consisting of:

a. Phytosanitary Certificate Fee

  • $20 per order
    This fee covers laboratory inspection and issuance of the official Phytosanitary Certificate, which is mandatory for international plant exports.

b. Shipping Fee (Flat Rate per Order)

Shipping rates by destination:

  • USA: $40 (Cargo or DHL Express)

  • Europe & Canada: $55 (DHL Express)

  • Asia: $50 (DHL Express)

  • South America: $150 (DHL Express)

There is no minimum or maximum quantity of plants per shipment.

Take advantage of our free international shipping offer with the following minimum order values:
 Customers located outside the USA are eligible for free shipping on purchases of $700 and above.
 Customers located within the USA can enjoy free shipping on purchases of $1.000 and above.

The free shipping benefit will be applied once the required minimum order amount has been met during checkout


4. Processing & Preparation Time

All plants require special preparation prior to export, including:

  • Plant preparation and inspection

  • Laboratory inspection

  • Issuance of a Phytosanitary Certificate

  • Secure packaging

Estimated processing time: 7–14 business days
(This timeline may vary depending on inspections, public holidays, or weather conditions.)


5. Transit Time

Delivery time depends on the destination country and local customs clearance processes.

  • Average international transit time: 3–5 business days after dispatch

Delays may occur due to customs inspections, weather conditions, or courier handling beyond our control.


6. Export Documents

We handle all required export documentation, including:

  • Phytosanitary Certificate

  • Commercial Invoice

  • Packing List

  • Other standard export documents (if applicable)

📌 Buyers do not need to prepare any documents when using Cargo Shipping.
📌 For DHL Express, buyers must provide their Import Permit.


7. Plant Condition & Natural Variations

Live plants are natural products. Minor issues such as:

  • Small leaf spots

  • Minor cosmetic damage

  • Temporary stress caused by shipping

are considered normal and do not affect the plant’s long-term health.

We do not ship plants with serious health issues.


8. Customs, Import Permits & Taxes

For DHL Express shipments, all import permits, customs processes, duties, and taxes (if applicable) are the responsibility of the buyer.

Greenspaces.id is not responsible for delays, confiscation, or additional costs resulting from local regulations.


9. Claims & Refund Policy

Claims will only be accepted if:

  • The package arrives with severe damage or the plant is Dead on Arrival (DOA)

  • Clear photos or videos are submitted within 24 hours of delivery

  • The shipping box, labels, and plant condition are clearly visible

Claims submitted after 24 hours will not be accepted.

Due to the nature of live plants, refunds or replacements are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.


10. Order Confirmation

Once an order is placed:

  • Orders are final

  • Cancellations cannot be processed after 3 days from the order date

  • Plant changes are allowed before the laboratory inspection process begins

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable once the process has started
